Product description

Tongue-based snoring and nasal snoring are 2 of the most common causes of nightly snoring (“simple snoring”). There are excellent solutions for both causes – both are combined in this top-selling package!
The somnipax guard (standard / large) MAD reliably counteracts tongue-based snoring. This occurs when the back part of the tongue muscle slides backwards into the throat during sleep and (partially) obstructs the upper airways there. An MAD places the lower jaw under slight tension and thus prevents the tongue muscle from sliding backwards.
The somnipax breathe nasal dilator improves the flow of air through the nose and prevents excessive negative pressure from building up in the upper airways. This would narrow the airways and cause vibrations (snoring sounds) at the bottlenecks. The nasal dilator widens the nasal passages in the area of the nasal vestibule and the lower nasal area. When inhaling, the air flows into the lungs with less resistance. The nasal dilator is comfortable to wear. It is made of elastic, well-tolerated medical-grade silicone; with rounded corners that ensure a firm fit and optimum comfort.
Optional trial right: If you are unsure whether the Top Selling Anti-snoring Package is right for you, you have the option of purchasing a trial right for an additional £25 (or 30€). With this trial right, you can try out the somnipax guard (standard / large) and the somnipax breathe in the comfort of your own home and also return them to us after use within 30 days. You can find more information in the ” Return Policy” section.

Application

Snoring can have several causes. Depending on the cause, a special anti-snoring product could help. Often snorers first try using nasal dilators or nasal strips. However, these products only help your snoring is caused by restricted nasal breathing. If these products do not help, the cause of your snoring is different. Your snoring may be caused by narrowed upper airways. The somnipax guard (standard / large) prevents this obstruction from occurring by gently pushing the lower jaw forward and thus placing the muscles of the tongue under slight tension. MADs can also be combined well with other auxiliary therapies. If your snoring occurs predominantly occurs when you sleep on your back, we recommend positional therapy (an anti-snoring backpack, anti-snoring t-shirt...). However, if you snore due to narrowed airways when you sleep in other positions than on your back, you can also benefit from a MAD. Another cause of snoring could be vibrating tissue in the palatal area. As a result of restricted nasal breathing the mouth is unconsciously opened. In this case you should try using a, so-called, anti-snoring mouth guard.

Instruction manual

The customisation of the mandibular advancement device is done in the comfort of your own home and is limited to a few simple steps: First, heat the water to the optimum temperature using the thermometer supplied. Then place the upper mouthpiece in the water bath for two minutes. Remove the mouthpiece, remove any hot water and fit the mouthpiece over your upper teeth (the material will not be hot), press it against your upper teeth. The same procedure is repeated with the lower mouthpiece. Once the two parts have been customised to fit your bite, the next step is to attach and individually adjust the tensioning bands - the shorter the band, the greater the extent of the mandibular advancement.
You can clean your mandibular advancement device (MAD) with mild soap and lukewarm water. Alternatively, put some mouthwash in a cup and clean the MAD with mouthwash and a toothbrush. After one minute at the most, remove the MAD from the cup containing mouthwash and rinse it with fresh water. For optimal cleaning results you can use special cleaning tablets or gels (such as BONYplus tablets or the Curaprox cleaners). Never use toothpaste or normal denture cleaners for cleaning! The ingredients can damage the surface of the MAD.
Here you will find detailed instructions for use of the somnipax guard (standard / large) MAD.
