The following two conditions must be met in order to be able to wear a MAD:
1. One must have 10 healthy teeth on the upper and lower jaw (in total 20 teeth).
2. The distribution of the teeth on the upper and lower jaw is also of importance: One should have 5 healthy teeth on the left and right side of the upper jaw as well as 5 healthy teeth on the right and left side of the lower jaw, respectively.

Should these two conditions be met, firmly anchored dental bridges or partial and full dental crowns should not pose any problems for the wearing of a MAD.

However, one should refrain from using a MAD if one wears removable partial or full dental prostheses.

Those with firmly anchored dental prostheses, can generally use a MAD. However, if in doubt, please consult your dentist regarding this matter.
