Is it possible to use a mandibular advancement device (MAD) if one has dental implants?

Yes, in the case of firmly fixed dental implants, the use of a MAD is generally possible.

The following two conditions must, however, be met:
1. 10 healthy teeth in the upper and lower jaw (in total 20 teeth).
2. The distribution of the teeth on the upper and lower jaw is also of importance: One should have 5 healthy teeth on the left and right side of the upper jaw as well as 5 healthy teeth on the right and left side of the lower jaw, respectively.
