SomnoFit-S may not be suitable for individuals with dental bridges – what are your concerns, and what should be considered?
That is correct. In the case of dental bridges as with dental prostheses, the mandibular advancement device (MAD) may not fit firmly enough. As a rule of thumb, 10 healthy teeth should be present on the upper as well as the lower jaw, so that the MAD fits well. Different considerations need to be taken into account with different types of dental prostheses, such as removable telescopic dentures or permanent implant bridges. If you have permanent implant bridges, then the SomnoFit-S should still fit firmly enough. However, in the case of removable telescope dentures, this can most likely not be guaranteed. When in doubt, you should always consult your dentist.
