There are 3 types of masks. A distinction is drawn between full-face, nasal, and minimal contact masks:
– Full-Face Mask: Covers the mouth and the nose – hence its name.
– Nasal Mask: It is placed exclusively over he nose (including large parts of the nasal bridge), but not the mouth.
– Nasal Pillow Mask: This type of mask is placed underneath the nostrils. The nasal bridge, however, remains uncovered.
