What exactly is the difference between “vented” and “non-vented” masks? Which version do I need for my CPAP device?
For regular CPAP therapy you require a “vented” version. Vented masks have an outlet for exhaled air.
Non-vented masks do not have an outlet for exhaled air, and are mainly used in the healthcare sector for ventilation. These masks must be connected to a ventilator with an active exhalation valve.
We only carry “vented” masks in our assortment – i.e., masks that can be connected to a CPAP device without an additional connector.
