As a CPAP mask wearer, is it necessary to use a special pillow and, if so, which one?
If you sleep on your side or on your stomach, then a CPAP pillow can certainly help you sleep better. When lying on one’s side or stomach, CPAP masks can put pressure on the face. CPAP pillows have, therefore, been designed with a gap in the side of the pillow, whereby they provide room for the masks.
If you exclusively sleep on your back, then a “normal” pillow will suffice.
