Product description
A solution for snoring must, above all, be effective and be worn regularly. Only then can it improve the sleeping situation of the person concerned.
This is why a mandibular advancement device (MAD) works so well
In many cases, this relaxation causes the tongue to slide backwards into the throat when you sleep on your back and obstructs the respiratory airways there. Air turbulence and vibrations occur at the narrowed point. This causes the snoring noise.
A MAD such as the ZQuiet is quite effective in preventing the tongue from sliding back into the throat during sleep. How does it work? By shifting the lower jaw a few millimetres forwards and thus placing the muscles of the tongue under slight tension. Because of this slight tension, the tongue muscle can no longer slide back into the throat. The airways remain open.
That is why ZQuiet is so practical
When it comes to finding a particularly mandibular advancement device, ZQuiet is almost unbeatable.
This is evident by the fact that ZQuiet is one of only a few MADs that do not need to be adjusted. You unpack it and it is ready for use! Why is that possible? Because ZQuiet is constructed fundamentally differently to conventional MADs.
The bite chamber of ZQuiet does not require any filling material. So you bite into a narrow, flat channel instead of a filling material which is adapted to your own bite. Since the filling material is missing, ZQuiet is altogether flatter and is only 7 mm high. Since the bite chamber is not individually customisable, the teeth have about 1-2 mm of space around them. This means you don’t experience any sense of constriction, instead you have a pleasant sensation of freedom. Since the material is relatively soft, the MAD is comfortable even though it is not customised to your bite.
ZQuiet is a monobloc anti-snoring mouthpiece. The upper and ower mouthpieces, as well as the connecting hinge are two splints for upper and lower jaws as well as the connecting hinge are all made of the same material and form a single piece. As it is a single unit, there is no risk of losing parts or having to tinker around with fiddly bits to assemble it. There are also no loose components (like tensioning bands / connecting elements in other MADs). Everything is made of the same material – everything ages equally fast.
The ZQuiet has a simple solution to adjusting the extent of the mandibular advancement (i.e. how far the lower jaw should be pulled forward) . The scope of delivery simply includes two anti-snoring mouthpieces! One provides a mandibular advancement of 2 mm feed and the other with a 6 mm advancement. So you don’t have to tinker with the MAD to customise the degree mandibular advancement, but simply insert the other model. You can also buy each of the mandibular advancement devices separately. Especially practical for users who already know which degree of mandibular advancement is suitable for them.

Application
Snoring can have several causes. Many products such as nasal dilators or plasters only help effectively if the snoring cause is that you can hardly breathe through your nose. If these products don't work for you, you may suffer from narrowed airways in the throat area.It is exactly this cause, the so-called, tongue-based snoring, where ZQuiet comes in. A typical indication for tongue-based snoring is that you only snore when you lie on your back. The ZQuiet can effectively stop this type of snoring.

More information
The ZQuiet is used to treat habitual snorers who do not suffer from sleep apnoea. The use of the MAD may require a certain period of acclimatisation (about 2 to 3 weeks), as the jaw muscles have to get used to the lower jaw being pushed forward.
The ZQuiet snoring MAD may not be suitable for you if you:
- have a protruding lower jaw or a severe overbite,
- suffer from jaw pain, loose teeth, a serious gum,
- have temporomandibular joint dysfunction or other jaw problems,
- have chronic asthma or epilepsy,
- wear braces, dentures, bridges or removable partial dentures or have problems with the upper or lower front teeth,
- are under 18 years of age.
Instruction manual
No potentially cumbersome adjustment as is the case with other mandibular advancement devices is necessary! Simply insert MAD 1 into your mouth before going to sleep. This results in your lower jaw being pushed forward by 2 mm. If this is not enough to prevent you from snoring, change to MAD 2 (6 mm mandibular advancement).
You can clean the Mandibular Advancement Device with mild soap and lukewarm water. Alternatively, add a little bit of mouthwash to a cup and use a toothbrush to clean the device in the solution. After a maximum of one minute, take the snoring mouthpiece out of the solution again and rinse with water. To achieve optimal cleaning results, you can also use special cleaning tablets or gels (e.g., BONYplus tabs or the Curaprox cleaner). Do not use toothpaste or regular denture cleaners, as the ingredients may damage the surface of the MAD.
