Product description
A solution for snoring must, above all, be effective and be worn regularly. Only then can it improve the sleeping situation of the person concerned.
This is why anti-snoring mouth guard works well
Snoring occurs when the tissue in the area of the upper respiratory tract relaxes and slackens during sleep. In most instances the nose is involved in the cause of snoring in one way or another. Either as the main cause of snoring, or as is more frequently the case, in a contributory role.
An anti-snoring mouthpiece like somnipax shield prevents snoring through the mouth in a simple and effective way. It stops mouth breathing. The air you breathe then does not flow past the soft palate or soft palatal tissue at all to cause it to vibrate. Instead, it flows quite naturally through the nose and from there directly through the airways into the lungs. Accordingly, it remains pleasantly quiet in the bedroom.
This is why the anti-snoring mouth guard is so effective
somnipax shield was developed to prevent open mouth snoring.
somnipax shield directly addresses the causes of open mouth snoring – namely breathing through the mouth. When you do happen to open your mouth, while you are sleeping, the somnipax mouth guard prevents you from breathing through the mouth. However, open mouth snoring is normally exemplified by sleeping with your mouth wide open – this is the absolute exception. Open mouth snoring is usually characterized by a slight slackening of the lower jaw which results in the mouth opening slightly while you sleep. In many cases the air flows in and out only through the slightly opened corners of the mouth.
If one wants to stop this air flow through the mouth, it quickly becomes clear that this can be done very effectively with an anti-snoring mouth guard. It forms a really effective barrier by covering the mouth. And that’s exactly why somnipax shield is so effective in preventing open mouth snoring – it addresses the cause of the problem.

Another option for treating open mouth snoring is a chin band. The chin strap ensures that the lower jaw remains closed. However, it does not ensure that the mouth remains closed. Because the corners of the mouth can be open even when the jaw is closed. Therefore, open mouth snoring can still occur even with the chin strap in place, simply because the air is not prevented from flowing in and out through the mouth.
Classic problem with the chin strap: mouth breathing despite the jaw closed
The anti-snoring mouthpiece acts as an effective breathing barrier exactly where the problem occurs most often (at the corners of the mouth).
somnipax shield – its slimline design ensures maximum comfort and freedom of movement.
This is immediately apparent when the mouth guard is worn for the first time. It is not firmly anchored to the teeth, but is worn like a mouth guard, i.e. simply inserted onto over the upper row of teeth . The lower jaw remains completely free and mobile and is also not pulled / pushed forward. somnipax shield does not cause any tension in the jaw area when it is worn, as it does not change the natural position of the jaw. The mouth guard is dimensioned in such a way that there is no danger of it being accidentally swallowed or inhaled. If breathing difficulties occur during sleep, you will reflexively spit the mouth guard out.
The somnipax shield is so comfortable that you hardly notice it when it is in your mouth. Due to its simple, slimline design your tongue can continue to rest in its natural position while you sleep. The tongue is not pushed back into the throat area, nor is the valuable space in the mouth impaired because the mouth guard takes up significant space in the mouth. The same applies to your lips – they can still close normally and you do not feel as if you have taken a big bite out of an apple.
One last important characteristic of the somnipax shield is that it is easy to clean. The mouth guard has a simple design with many smooth surfaces. This makes cleaning easier and faster and ensures especially high hygiene standards. This guarantees the product’s longevity.

Application
If you breathe with your mouth open at night , the air in your throat will pass through a narrowed passages. This causes the turbulence and the palatal tissue then vibrates which produces the typical snoring sound. somnipax shield helps prevent open mouth snoring because it covers the opening of the mouth. Because you can no longer breathe through your mouth, you automatically switch to breathing through your nose, which is healthier for you. Breathing through the mouth at night can have various causes. If you breathe through your mouth because you have difficulty breathing through your nose, you should consider using a nasal dilator in addition to this anti-snoring mouth guard. This will help you breathe more easily through your nose when it is no longer possible for you to breathe through your mouth. If you suffer from tongue-based snoring, the anti-snoring mouth guard will not help you. In this case a mandibular advancement device (MAD) is more suitable. Also, if you are a nasal snorer, somnipax shield is the wrong choice, in this case you should consider buying a nasal dilatorReturn Policy
