Product description
Airphysio helps you to breathe easier and enjoy a better quality of life:
- It loosens and clears mucus – this then moves upwards through the airways so that it can be coughed up or swallowed.
- It increases lung capacity and expands the lungs to clear any blockages.
AirPhysio is a quick yet effective treatment: The device is used for just 10 minutes once or twice a day.
There is a steel ball inside the device. When you breathe out through the device, your breath meets a steel ball located in the device. This causes a positive expiratory pressure to build up in your lungs. The steel ball is moved by your breath – these movements of the ball cause the expiratory pressure to change rapidly (this is referred to as oscillation). This is what gives AirPhysio its special mucus-loosening effect.
AirPhysio is an award-winning medical device produced by the Australian manufacturer of the same name. It is manufactured in Australia.

Application
How AirPhysio works:- Take a glass of water and a box of tissues, relax and adopt a comfortable sitting or standing position.
- Breathe in with a normal breath but do not completely fill your lungs.
- Hold your breath for 2 to 3 seconds.
- Put the mouthpiece of the AirPhysio device in your month and breathe out through the device quite quickly but not too forcefully, using an abdominal/deep breathing technique. Do not empty your lungs, and use lip balm if your lips become dry.
- Once your lungs have reached the optimal lung capacity to lift the ball, adjust the tilt angle so that you can feel maximum vibration in your chest, and keep your cheeks taut. It is normal for the ball to sometimes not move at the beginning. Continue using the AirPhysio until you see your lung power start to increase over time.
- Once you have breathed out through the device, you may feel mucus collecting at the back of your throat. If so, cough to get ride of the mucus. If not, the process will have begun and the mucus will keep moving towards the throat (even after 5-10 minutes of use). You can also choose to swallow the mucus when it gets into your mouth (although this may upset your stomach).
- Repeat steps 2 to 4 for up to 5 minutes. You can take a break and relax while breathing in deeply so as to avoid dizziness. Start again when you’re ready.
