Product description
Using the ResMed HumidAir respiratory humidifier heats up and moistens the exhaled air in your ResMed AirSense 10 or AirCurve 10 device. This stops the mucous membranes from drying out.
Once you have inserted the HumidAir respiratory humidifier into your ResMed AirSense 10 or AirCurve 10 device, you can activate humidification from the device menu and select one of the eight available humidification levels.
The most suitable humidification level for you will depend on the room temperature and the air humidity. To select the correct humidification level, follow these recommendations: Increase the humidification level if your nose or mouth feels dry. Reduce the humidification level if water droplets are forming in the mask or breathing hose.
After each session, you can check your sleep report to see whether the humidifier has been working correctly.
If you are using the HumidAir humidifier at the same time as the ResMed ClimateLineAir heatable CPAP hose, you can use the Climate Control function This function provides a pleasant humidity level and temperature during the therapy. If stops your nose and mouth from drying out and protects against the formation of water droplets in the breathing hose and mask. You can either choose a constant, pleasant humidification level or set the hose temperature and humidification level manually.

Application
Press the button on the right-hand side of your ResMed AirSense 10 or AirCurve 10 downwards and pull out the side cover of the device. Now take hold of the opening on the right-hand side of the HumidAir humidifier and pull this upwards to open the humidification chamber. Fill the humidifier with water up to the maximum water level marking. Close the humidifier and push it into the right-hand side of your ResMed AirSense 10 or AirCurve 10 device.
Remove the excess water from the HumidAir every day, and fill the humidifier up to the maximum water level marking with fresh water before going to sleep.

More information
The HumidAir respiratory humidifier is only compatible with devices in the ResMed AirSense 10 series (AirSense 10 Elite, AirSense 10 AutoSet, AirSense 10 Autoset For Her) and ResMed AirCurve 10 series (AirCurve 10 VAuto, AirCurve 10 S, AirCurve 10ST, AirCurve 10 CS-A).
Notes on using the humidifier:
The CPAP device must always be placed on a horizontal surface that is lower than your head, so that the mask and the breathing hose cannot fill with water.
Do not fill the humidifier with too much water, as this could cause water to get into the device or hose system. Do not fill the humidifier with hot water.
Completely empty the humidifier before travelling, and store it in your bag separately from the device.
If you continue to have problems with a dry nose or mouth or if condensation is forming in the mask, you may wish to consider using the heatable ResMed ClimateLineAir CPAP hose as well.
