Product description

The ResMed AirFit F40 Full Face Mask sets completely new standards in CPAP therapy in terms of peace, comfort and lightness. It combines the latest technology with a sophisticated design, for particularly easy use and simple handling.

The main difference between this mask and previous masks in the ResMed family can be seen in the innovative mask cushions with AdaptiSealâ„¢ technology. The mask cushion has no hard components, meaning that it gently adapts to the individual face shape to provide an optimal seal. This reduces pressure points and leaks, and allows you to benefit from effective and comfortable therapy.

With a maximum weight of 97 g (size L), the AirFit F40 is one of the lightest masks in its class and provides unparalleled comfort all night long. At the same time, the mask cushion sits under the nose, meaning that the mask provides a particularly open field of vision.

For particularly quiet nights, the ResMed AirFit F40 has a QuietAir exhalation valve. This reduces breathing noises to a super-quiet 20 dB(A). No more irritating noises for you and your bed partner. Together with the integrated Anti-Asphyxia Valve, the exhalation valve also ensures natural breathing by preventing CO2 rebreathing.

It’s particularly easy to put the mask on and take it off again thanks to the practical magnetic clips. The individual mask components can also be easily disassembled and re-assembled for cleaning, which helps to ensure optimal mask hygiene.

The mask is available with mask cushions in three different sizes (SW, M or L). They are provided with a medium-sized frame (Standard). A smaller frame (Small) can optionally be selected for mask cushions in size M.

Experience the benefits of this innovative Full Face Mask for yourself and enjoy a restorative night’s sleep!

Return Policy

You can find further details of your right to return goods in our GTC.

Instructions for use

CPAP masks are wear parts. The service life of a CPAP mask is therefore 5 to 6 months. Usual wear and tear, particularly of mask cushions (e.g. a tear in the mask cushion after 3 months of use) or head straps (baggy strap after several months of use) does not constitute a material defect.

Due to the production methods used, CPAP masks may smell of plastic or silicone. If this smell does not evaporate after initial use, it often helps to clean the CPAP mask under fresh water (with the addition of SomnoSept, if necessary) and to leave to dry.

Warning

The mask contains magnets with a magnetic field strength of up to 400 mT. Make sure that the magnets are kept at least 15 cm away from implants or medical devices that could be negatively affected by magnetic interferences. This warning applies to you and to all persons who come into close physical contact with your mask. The magnets are located inside the frame and inside the bottom head strap clips, and have a magnetic field strength of up to 400 mT. When you are wearing the mask, these magnets attach to one another to secure the mask, but may accidentally come loose as you sleep.

Implants/medical devices, including those listed under contraindications, may be negatively affected if their functioning changes when exposed to extreme magnetic fields, or may contain ferromagnetic materials that are attracted or repelled by magnetic fields (some metallic implants, e.g. contact lenses that contain metal, dental implants, metallic cranium plates, screws, drilled hole covers and bone replacement fixtures). Contact your physician and the manufacture of your implant/other medical device for information about the possible harmful effects of magnetic fields.

Contraindications

Active medical implants that interact with magnets, e.g.:
  • Pacemakers
  • Implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs)
  • Neurostimulators
  • Shunts for the outflow of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF)
  • Insulin infusion pumps
Metallic implants/objects that contain ferromagnetic materials, e.g.:
  • Clips for the treatment of aneurysms or to stop blood flow
  • Spirals for the treatment of embolisms
  • Stents
  • Valves/flaps
  • Electrodes
  • Implants to restore hearing or balance that contain implanted magnets
  • Metal splinters in the eye
  • Eye implants
