BMC N5H – with innovative HME technology

BMC N5H Waterless humidification

The N5H Nasal Mask features a waterless humidification solution based on heat and moisture exchanger (HME) technology. Integrated directly into the mask, a small filter captures the heat and moisture from your exhaled air and stores it in the filter’s fine fins. When you breathe in, the filter releases the moisture again, helping to prevent your mucous membranes from drying out.

So say goodbye to bulky luggage and tedious cleaning of your CPAP machine’s water tank! With the humidification built into the mask, you may no longer need a separate humidifier.

The HU humidifier filter is designed for standard use, while the HU-Plus is intended for environments with particularly low humidity, such as at high altitudes or on an aeroplane.

Note: for optimal hygiene and performance, the humidifier filters should be replaced every 30 days.

The BMC N5H Nasal Mask is available in four sizes: S, M, L and XL. The soft and flexible Groove-Fit cushion adapts particularly well to different face shapes and helps prevent pressure marks and leaks.

The 360° swivel elbow provides great freedom of movement during sleep. A special built-in filter also slows down the exhaled air, so your bed partner won’t feel a draught at night, and disruptive breathing noises are effectively muffled.

Whether you’re using your full-size CPAP machine or travelling with a compact travel CPAP: the BMC N5H mask is compatible with almost all CPAP machines. In addition to the standard 22 mm connector, a 15 mm adapter is included.

This lets you switch seamlessly between your home machine and your travel CPAP without having to buy a second mask.

CPAP masks are wear parts. The service life of a CPAP mask is therefore 5 to 6 months. Usual wear and tear, particularly of mask cushions (e.g. a tear in the mask cushion after 3 months of use) or head straps (baggy strap after several months of use) does not constitute a material defect.

Due to the production methods used, CPAP masks may smell of plastic or silicone. If this smell does not evaporate after initial use, it often helps to clean the CPAP mask under fresh water (with the addition of SomnoSept, if necessary) and to leave to dry.
