Application
Snoring can have several causes. Many products such as nasal dilators or plasters only help effectively if your snoring is a result of an insufficiency of air through your nose. If these products don't work for you, you may suffer from narrowed airways in the throat area. This is where SomnoFit comes in. SomnoFit will push your lower jaw forward, widening and stabilising your airways. If your snoring is not caused by restricted nasal breathing or narrowing of the airways in your throat, your snoring may be caused by vibrating tissue in your palate. This occurs when you breathe though you mouth at night. In this case you should consider an anti-snoring mouth guard instead of an mandibular advancement device (MAD). This is better suited to prevent vibrating tissue.Return Policy

More information
At first, the having the MAD in the mouth may feel unfamiliar. It takes about two to three weeks to get accustomed to the device and no longer perceive SomnoFit as a foreign object. The SomnoFit snoring device may not be suitable for you if you:- have a protruding lower jaw or a severe overbite,
- suffer from jaw pain, loose teeth, a serious gum,
- have temporomandibular joint dysfunction or other jaw problems,
- have chronic asthma or epilepsy,
- wear braces, dentures, bridges or removable partial dentures or have problems with the upper or lower front teeth,
- are under 18 years of age.
Instruction manual
Only a few simple steps are required for fitting SomnoFit to your teeth: Place the upper mouthpiece of the MAD or anti-snoring mouthpiece in a water bath. Increase the heat until the ideal temperature has been reached (there is a thermometer included). Leave the device in the hot water bath for two minutes. Afterwards, firmly fit the upper mouthpiece onto top teeth (even after the water bath, the material is not too hot for that). Repeat the procedure with the lower mouthpiece.
Then you can attach one of the tensioning bands to both parts of the MAD in order to calibrate the mandibular advancement appropriately – the shorter the band, the greater the mandibular advancement. You will find detailed instructions in the enclosed instruction manual.
You can clean the Mandibular Advancement Device with mild soap and lukewarm water. Alternatively, add a little bit of mouthwash to a cup and use a toothbrush to clean the device in the solution. After a maximum of one minute, take the snoring mouthpiece out of the solution again and rinse with water. To achieve optimal cleaning results, you can also use special cleaning tablets or gels (e.g., BONYplus tabs or the Curaprox-cleaner). Do not use toothpaste or regular denture cleaners, as the ingredients may damage the surface of the MAD.
In the case of a severe overbite, the tensioning bands provided may not be long enough. There is, however, a simple solution to this, which we outlined for you here (“How to use the SomnoFit in case of a severe overbite”).
Here you can find detailed instructions for using the SomnoFit.
