The MAD can move the jaw forward by between 0 – 10 mm, thereby opening the upper airways (obstructed airways are a major cause of snoring). Snoring is thus prevented. Application
Snoring can have several causes. Many products such as nasal spreaders or plasters only help effectively if the snoring cause is that you can hardly get air through your nose. If these products don't work for you, you may suffer from narrowed airways in the throat area. This is where SomnoGuard AP 2 comes in. Because SomnoGuard AP 2 pushes your lower jaw forward and keeps your airways clear. If your snoring is neither caused by restricted nasal breathing nor by narrowed airways in the throat area, the snoring cause could be vibrating tissue in the palate area. This occurs when you breathe through your open mouth while you sleep. In this case you should consider the somnipax anti-snoring mouth guard instead of a mandibular advancement device. This is better suited to preventing tissue vibrations.Return Policy

Instruction manual
Soak the upper mouthpiece of the SomnoGuard AP 2 Mandibular Advancement Device in a water bath, filled with boiling water, for a few minutes, then let it cool down for a few seconds. The material is now warm, no longer hot. Then fit it onto the teeth of the upper jaw and let it cool and harden. Repeat the same procedure with the lower jaw mouthpiece. The set screw should already be completely screwed into the thread. Do not insert the lower jaw mouthpiece into the mouth on its own, first connect it to the upper jaw mouthpiece by means of the screws. Detailed instructions can be found in the enclosed instruction manual. You can clean your mandibular advancement device (MAD) with mild soap and lukewarm water. Alternatively, put some mouthwash in a cup and clean the MAD with mouthwash and a toothbrush. After one minute at the most, remove the MAD from the cup containing mouthwash and rinse it with fresh water. For optimal cleaning results you can use special cleaning tablets or gels (such as BONYplus tablets or the Curaprox cleaners). Never use toothpaste or normal denture cleaners for cleaning! The ingredients can damage the surface of the MAD.Check out the detailed instructions for use of the SomnoGuard AP 2 MAD, here.
